Playing on Steam

The Steam edition includes the full story and all challenge boards. Story missions open through normal progression; there is no extra story expansion to buy.

Launch Ricochet from your Steam library while signed into Steam. Achievement syncing starts automatically. Open Options → Achievements to see your awards and sync status. Awards earned offline stay saved in the game, and syncing retries when Steam is available. If the game says Steam is unavailable, quit and launch it again through Steam.

Steam's achievement record can restore unlocked awards. Saved missions, scores and runs are handled separately by Steam Cloud.

Steam Cloud and switching devices

With Steam Cloud enabled for Ricochet, Steam synchronizes your saved progress before the game starts and after it exits. Use the same Steam account on both devices. Quit the game and wait for Steam to finish syncing before playing on another device. Check the game's Cloud status in your Steam library if progress has not arrived.

Sound, display and control preferences stay on each device. Steam and iCloud saves are separate; progress does not transfer between Steam and the Apple edition.

Switching Steam accounts

Quit Ricochet, switch accounts in the Steam client, then launch the game again. Each Steam account has its own save. Changing accounts while the game is running requires a restart before you can continue saving or syncing achievements.

If Steam cannot identify an account when the game starts, the game uses a separate local save. Restart through Steam to return to your Steam account's progress.

Game activity in Steam and Discord

On Windows, Ricochet can show your current mode, garden or level and gameplay status in Steam and in the running Discord desktop app. Visibility is controlled by those services. Use your Steam profile privacy settings or Discord's activity-sharing controls to manage who can see it. See our privacy policy for details.

Playing on Android

Google Play builds use your Google Account for purchases. Open Options → Restore Purchases while connected to Google Play using the account that bought the expansion. Purchases are separate between Apple and Google Play; an Apple purchase does not transfer to Android.

Android progress currently saves on your device. Google cloud saving and transfer from iCloud are not available. Keep the game installed when updating: uninstalling or clearing app storage removes local progress. Restoring the expansion restores access, not scores.

Restore an iPhone or iPad purchase

Use the Apple Account that bought The Journey Continues. In the game, open Options → Restore Purchases, or use Restore Purchases on the expansion offer. Connect to the internet and allow Apple to finish checking your purchase.

The expansion unlocks access to missions 57–112. Missions still open through normal story progression. Restoring a purchase does not transfer scores or saved progress from another device.

Changing language on Steam

Open Options → Language to choose English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese. System language chooses a supported language automatically. Menus, story and mission text update immediately, and your progress stays the same. The setting is saved on this computer.

Your progress and iCloud

The game saves on your device. In iCloud-enabled builds, story clears, stars, best scores, challenge unlocks, achievement progress and recent Daily results can also sync through your iCloud Apple Account. Open Options → Help & Privacy → iCloud Saves to check or pause syncing. This option is available on supported Apple builds, not Android.

Use the same iCloud account on both devices. Apple transfers updates when connectivity allows; transfer may take time. The game keeps the best earned results from both saves. Your current shot, downloaded Daily board and device preferences stay local. Purchase access restores separately with Restore Purchases.

Keep the app installed when updating. Deleting it can remove local progress. A copy already transferred to iCloud can return after reinstalling and allowing sync; unsynced progress cannot be recovered from iCloud. We do not keep a copy on our Daily server.

To remove the cloud copy, first pause sync on all your other devices, then choose Remove Cloud Copy and confirm in iCloud Saves. Local progress stays, and sync is paused on that device. Apple applies the removal when it synchronizes. Enabling sync again, or leaving another device syncing, can upload its retained progress again.

Achievements and Game Center

Achievements are saved in the game. In Game Center-enabled iOS builds, open Achievements → Connect Game Center to link your earned progress to your Game Center account. Apple handles sign-in. Awards earned offline stay saved and can sync when you reconnect.

Use the same Game Center account to restore its achievements on another device. This restores achievement progress, not mission clears or purchase access. If you change Game Center accounts, connect again before sharing this device's earned achievements with that account. Daily Challenges

Open Daily Challenge while connected to the internet to download today's board. The challenge changes at midnight UTC. A board already downloaded can be played offline while it remains valid for that day. Story and Challenge Levels are also available when the Daily service cannot be reached.

A gentler garden

Options lets you turn down the activity: switch off Motion effects, Haptics, sound effects, Garden music or Keeper voices. Haptics depend on your device's vibration hardware. Jewel symbols add shapes to distinguish the colours. Revisit Flight School from the main menu to practise.

Google Play billing help

In Google Play editions, Google Play handles payments. The story expansion is an optional, permanent one-time purchase with no subscription. For billing issues and refund requests, visit Google Play purchase support. Never send us passwords, payment details or verification codes.

Apple purchases and refunds

The Journey Continues is an optional, one-time purchase, with no subscription. Apple processes the payment. For an Apple billing issue or refund request, visit Apple's purchase support.
